THE HARLEY-DAVIDSON® RIDING ACADEMY SKILLED RIDER COURSE

No matter how experienced you are, there’s always something new to learn. If you’re an experienced rider who is serious about becoming a better rider, taking the Harley-Davidson® Riding Academy Skilled Rider Course is a great way to hone your existing skills, increase your confidence, and learn new mental skills and street strategies. You’ll learn advanced techniques of managing traction, stopping quickly, cornering, swerving, and more − all while riding your own motorcycle.

  • Control at low speeds
  • Risk management
  • Limited-space maneuvers
  • Cornering judgment
  • Swerving and stopping quickly on straights and in curves
  • Multiple curve maneuvers and surmounting objects

When you’re done, you’ll not only ride with more confidence than ever, you’ll earn an MSF Basic RiderCourseSM 2 Completion Card that may qualify you for a discount on motorcycle insurance.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW AND BRING WITH YOU TO YOUR CLASS

  • Cost $150
  • Minimum of 6 students. Maximum 10 students per class.
  • Holding a valid driver’s license with a motorcycle endorsement is required
  • Proof of ownership of a safe, street-ready motorcycle
  • Proof of motorcycle insurance
  • Satisfactory T-CLOCS inspection of motorcycle
  • Signed Waiver & Release Forms, Ground Rules Acknowledgement Forms
  • A minimum of 2,000 miles experience on your own motorcycle
  • Proper protective riding gear: jeans, sturdy over-the-ankle and rubber-soled boots or shoes, full-fingered leather-type gloves, protective eyewear, and DOT approved ¾, or full-face Helmet. Loaner helmets may be available.

Designed solely for experienced riders, this course is taught by dedicated Motorcycle Safety Foundation® (MSF) and H-D® Certified Coaches.
